Fear and anxiety are rational.

But, it can become untenable if you let it take over your lifestyle and hamper your routine.

Depression, stress, and other mental illnesses are moderately common. And, well-wishers suggest- “Think & Stay Positive”.

I believe it is not a suitable solution to such a quandary.

What to do?

Omit the handed-down way of evoking positivity in yourself. Instead of springing with housing positivity inside you, begin with evicting those dwelling-for-years cynical thoughts. Rewire yourself to spin unpropitious circumstances in your favor and positivity. Starve yourself with negativity and train to be more assertive.

For instance- once you feel bad about something, just STOP then and there!!!!

Take a breath and interpret the situation. Ask questions to yourself- What is the dilemma? What are the various viewpoints? What is mind thinking? You will shortly be overflowing with tons of words as answers to the above. Listen to these messages, and scrutinize their energy positive or negative.

Act upon the received messages. Of course, your mind would recollect all the problems and build connections. But, take a step to act upon at least one of them. Make a to-do list to keep your mind off of pondering on those problems. Gradually, you will get rid of this chain of troubles.

Train your mind. Shrink your problems into the size of the postcard stamp and throw it in the distance. However, if the image pops up again, something is missing from your efforts. Visualize how you aspire that aspect of your life to be in the future, and respond correspondingly. Teach your mind to let go of abrogating thoughts.

Practice Power postures. How you carry your posture reveals a lot about your state of mind. So, revel in several power postures to get rid of those worrisome feelings. Assure the power postures should be of at least 30 seconds.

Breathe In & Breathe Out. Last but not least. Concentrating on your breath produces relaxation within you. Do it whenever you are overwhelmed with gloomy thoughts. And then, think about the stuff that makes you laugh and content.

Do not let anybody tell you- “You’re broken”.

You are not broken; just deviated a little. You merely adopted an unhealthy way of reacting to situations. And, it is easier to get your thoughts back on course.

Do not listen to anyone and everyone. If you genuinely self-diagnose yourself clinically depressed, seek professional help in a blink of an eye.

What are your approaches to control those pessimistic jitters?
